The other two were probably from 30 yards out and hit a defender five yards away.

They count as off target (they aren't on goal). Although, personally, I'd class them as on target.

Lingard is in danger of and very close to suffering the same fate. Lingard belongs at Everton, shame they signed Iwobi and Walcott instead of taking Lingard off us. Lingard is overpaid (even in this era) and he’ll never be a first 11 player.
We desperately need a RW, I hope Ole doesn’t think he can just go forward with Mata, Lingard, James, Rashford, Pereira being shoved out on that side.

The target is the area of the goal in which you can score. Unless you’re aiming for the post and trying not to score how can it be on target?
