Default CL and Europa deal extended to 2021

No terrestrial highlights.

BT paid £1.18bn - makes you think

Maybe we'll get to be in it one year.

Last week UEFA were whinging that the CL isn't getting enough exposure on free to air tv so this week they sell the only remaining free to air package to a subscription channel provider.

Makes sense I suppose.

The coefficient battle between Germany, England and Italy is over too.

They'll all get 4 places now.

It's £#%&!ing great.

Home ones are always 8pm and it's an excuse to be in the pub for 6pm for away games.

They devalued the currency a long time ago as far as I'm concerned. The balance between the sporting and business aspects of the game is so lopsided it's made football boring.

this could be a huge nail in the coffin for sky.

other than premier league coverage, what do they offer that there is a great demand for? superleague? f1? wwe? cricket?

tv shows and movies, the explosion of Kodi and its various apps has to be wiping the floor with them.

saw an advert yesterday that their coverage of the Netball Premier League starts next saturday tea time.

can't wait.

Sky doesn't even have all the cricket now. Wanted to watch some the other day and it wasn't on any of the Sky channels... then saw it was listed under BT which I don't £#%&!ing have. One reason fewer to bother with Sky.

Does the consumer really win if they have to buy multiple platforms to see what they used to get on only one?

it's the consumer's fault.

if everyone had blanked sky they'd have been £#%&!ed long ago, and none of these multi billion TV deals would happen.
