This was always clear to those who knew. You cannot play Ten Hag football with a huffing, puffing middle aged bloke at the tip of the spear. Rashford/Sancho/Bruno/Antony/Martial or bust. Points per game with Ronaldo in side under Ole/Ralf/Ten Hag absolute shite. Results/performances against any half-decent team with Ronaldo in the side absolute shite. Common denominator. Capeesh?
The money isn't really relevant. Most of it still pay for itself.

His age has caught up with him quickly. He was slow last season but now it's painful to watch. He no longer seems to bring anything to the team. Its hard to see him getting many minutes.

Huge drop off when Eriksen & Dalot went off.

We haven't really got like-for-like replacements for either. Penalty still took the absolute piss though.

Lindelof was pointless at right back. That seriously affected us in the second half, it made both Antony and Sancho look proper shit having absolutely no-one behind them.

Get the feeling it was a lifeline being offered by Ten Haag, but he shouldn't get another one based of last nights second half.

Fred and Elanga were shocking. Great energy to get into the faces of Sociedad in the first half, but they were liabilities on the ball. Elanga should have had two of the easiest assists Premier League footballers can get before half time.

I don't think ETH was really that bothered with the result in the end. It looked like a game where he gave fringe and backup players some chances to prove their worth, and he was happy to let them sink or swim on their own merit. Most of them sank.

Can see Erikson making a real dent if he has young players who can move in front of him, always rated him but didn't realise how good he actually is.

Surely Casa or Mcfred can carry the can behind him. Worries about Ronnie, but hey ho. Be in the champions league next year, bossing barca
