Default Lionel Messi: Free Agent

His contract with Barcelona has officially expired.

He's going to re-sign apparently, but weird innit.

Was being reported only yesterday that it was getting extended?

Crazy thing is that we could justify a contract for him more than Barca could for FFP regs, purely on additional revenue generated.

He'll be guaranteed five years and only play two more. Brilliant smokescreening

wah wah wah, changed his mind
Here, take the whole club, stadium ownership too if you like, please dont leave BB

£#%&! off. Hate him. Barca are complete cucks. They'd hold his hand if he got a black lover.

There was some news earlier of the league getting an incredible injection of cash from a huge company I've never heard of and can't remember. Couple gazillion to spread across various struggling clubs to help with post pandemic issues. Amazingly, Barcelona appear to be due over 230 mill of this and that may just cover their registration issues.

Please take this as a totally unverified story that was heard in passing and not checked. As that's all it is at this point.

But it looks like something like this will be the only way their entire league saves face. Most clubs would accept the hardship to watch Real and Barcelona implode but the league can't let that happen.

Still can't see him leaving.

Barcelona will sell every player in the squad, tear down the Nou Camp and flog the stadium for parts, and empty the bank accounts of every relative of every executive in order to keep him.

They are the oddest club in Europe. They'll change their club badge to a cartoon face of that drug-pumped dwarf in order to keep him.

What an absolute shambles Barca are

Can’t even register the players they signed on a free so Depay doesn’t even have a shirt number at the moment

Was surprised Messi was as patient in waiting for this to be sorted but looks like he’s had enough

Hope it’s not a Kane alternative for City
Messi at City would be

Thumbs down

Looks like he's actually leaving.

Pep will be lining him up as the alternative to Kane, NQAT.

If he really wanted to stay he’d accept a normal wage.
