He’s improving coming forward. He’ll never be a natural, but he’s contributing more. That and Shaw’s form is really encouraging.

He’s a likeable lad.

But cant fault his effort, he offers us so much just with that

Improved a lot recently. He'll never be Beckham but he's learning how he can be himself but still be positive.

He’s definitely improving going forward, be daft not to acknowledge that

Teams are still happy to leave him free, so if he can keep improving he could actually be a really good attacking threat for us

There was a very interesting article on The Athletic a few weeks ago about how he’s actually quite underrated

solid defender 1v1....just has an issue falling asleep at the back post

Improved over the last few games but for most of the season he has been poor

His best attacking performance by a mile tonight
Hopefully he takes confidence from that and kicks on for the rest of the season

I think he's got better going forward, at the expense of his defensive game.

Did an old school (for him) last ditch tackle tonight to remind us he still has it though. He was moving a bit gingerly after it, have they said if he's okay?

Well said. Gets way too much shit on here. Is rough at times but is involved an awful lot. As is shaw who’s also playing superbly.

Been saying it for a while that I think he looks really good atm. Even in games where he might not have delivered the final ball he’s looked to get forward and some of his link up play has been great. He’s also capable of taking a man on and beating him, which is exactly what we want our of our fullbacks when going forward. He’s still pretty young, will be number 1 rb for England in the next few years.

I wouldn’t judge his season off tonight. He had a very good game tonight ,as did Luke Shaw (who’s been one of our best players this season).

He’s a very good tackler and is improving going forward, it probably doesn’t help not having a decent/regular RW.
