Boring. Debate over. Nothing to be gained. Move on.

I'm Ruud's biggest fan, but anyone can see that's the truth.

The move was good for everyone involved. I'm only sorry we didn't get a bit more money for him.

This topic comes up every time Ruud scores, and I'm sure it will continue to do so, because the bloke is a £#%&!ing goal machine.

Last season was as successful as it was because for the most part we played an orthodox 4-4-2.

I just can't accept that Van Nistelrooy wouldn't have been more effective than any of either Saha, Smith, Larsson or Ole.

It doesn't matter anymore anyway because he left the Club over a year ago & we've both moved on....& both won a League Title in our first season.

I just don't buy this simplistic view that we won the League last season because Ruud left.

All 5 games our favourite Number9 has played since we got rid of that @#%&! Van Nistelrooy have been immense.

Nobody can convince me that Louis Saha isn't a better striker than that @#%&! Ruud.

What would you rather have?

The guy that has scored 55 goals in 60 Champions League games (what was he doing for the other 5 games?..greedy, useless @#%&!)
.
..or the guy that can manage roughly a dozen games a year?..if that.

The injury prone, confidence free striker that never £#%&!ing plays V the head shakingly prolific goal machine.

No contest.
Has he? What in the 20 odd games he has played since Ruud left? I don't think so. I don't like Ruud to be honest but to say Saha has proved he is better player is bullshit. He hasn't proved anything yet.

Absolutely. Why enjoy the present when you can look back with rose tinted specs instead. Oh and don't forget, no credit to Fergie, only blame.

Suited him down to the ground as he was the focal point of evey attack. Played in a 4-5-1 for Holland too.

No denying Ronnie's been far better though. Again though this is totally unrelated. No longer being slated constantly for trying to play your natural game has had no beneficial effect on Ronnie as a footballer.

For some reason I didn't understand that. Who was that in favour of? All I am saying is I am glad Ruud has gone, we play better football but I don't think Saha has proved to be a better player because he has hardly played.

Would rather Tevez anyway.

I'm gonna join you in the present and enjoy the team we have. Leave the history buffs to their reminiscances.

Careful here Bedders, you're being dragged into the mire of debating with people who don't realise a team isn't just the best 11 players, and that a balance to each individual's skill and specialism is the crucial issue.

I thought our front 3 were excellent on Saturday. Fulid movement, pace, class, skill and some great goals. Really enjoyable to watch.
