Most of those passes are easy ones to make though. Needs to be a bit more adventurous if he wants a long career here. Suppose it doesn't help when theres no options in front though

Have to disagree there

Whilst a lot of the football has been forgettable I see that as part of the price of rebuilding

If the two missed pens had been converted then they'd be comfortably sitting second

Hardly terrible

It’s not been that bad tbh. The results obvs aren’t great, but Chelsea was ace, first half at Wolves we looked the part, the chase to get back level vs. Palace was ok and the first half hour at Southampton was good. Today was decent enough in spells. It’s not enough and we need to improve, but it’s far from the utter misery portrayed by some.

Good win that. Defended well. The Scottish Player and James played really well and AWB was decent too. Big Slabhead did mostly well too.

That Chillwell is a player and Leicester's midfield is decent.

Yep.

Defensively we’re better but we need to start killing teams off and being ruthless instead of being 1-0 up and players all over the pitch start attempting flicks and miracle passes, which is probably down the youthfulness of the squad?

Today was the first time this season I didn’t really get how we were trying to play, but we won and I think that’s what it was all about, getting the three points and moving on.

we need a 3-man midfield behind pogba. but he should be made to watch video of vestergaard's goal over and over and explain on insta what he did wrong.

So 3-1-2? Where would James fit in to that? If Poga is the creative fulcrum he will have to play in a 2-1-3 or as a no 10 in a 4-4-2.

We don't have good enough midfielders to play 3 of the.

Maybe a diamond?

Like you say though where would James fit in?

Yeah, with a bit of luck we could be second in the table. Despite all the shortcomings which none of us deny.

right now, playing in front of pogba. if you mean can we accommodate all of martial, rashford and james…. or can we accommodate pogba..... well, not if we want to play a 3-man midfield.

pogba can spend the time watching videos as far as I'm concerned.

McT getting stuck in was maybe the only positive.
Hope we see more of Fred because Matic is just a waste of time.
Trying not to mention Mata, as it is just sad.

A win and a clean sheet with a midfield that should have gotten walked over by Maddison/Tielmans. Performances come with time, as does a "cohesive style of play".

Losing Martial has clearly affected the dynamic of our front three but it will return.

Start of a 2 year rebuild- important 3 points against a team that was supposed to play us off the park.

Will take that- reserve any criticism if we are off the pace four 4th in Dec

Wasn't entertaining, but I enjoy seeing a win and a clean sheet, especially with a weakened team against a strong, unbeaten Leicester side. The lack of chances created is still a massive concern, but £#%&! it. A wins a win.

Had a really good game imo, he'll never be a technical wizard on the ball, but he's a crucial player for the team.

The only positive from the game was our defense. Maguire and Lindelof were air tight especially with McT and Matic in front of them.

Our attack was abysmal. This was the worst performance out of the games we had so far. Maybe that is due to Pogba not being in the midfield, maybe not.

The formation needs to change. 4231 is a formation that relies heavily on 4 exceptional attackers, which we do not have. Come to think of it. I don't think any top teams in europe play 4231. Most of them play 433.

Everyone critisizing Mata and Matic are being over critical. They were no better or worse than the other players on the pitch.

Everyone says we are in transition and blah blah but how long does it take to get the team playing better football? We should be seeing glimpses of improvement or a part of the game where we are scintilating but we seem to be regressing. Look at Chelsea. Lamps has got them playing good football. Even Norwich, they play great football with lesser players.

Against Astana, I expect to see a dominating performance. I expect to dominate possession and cut through their defence over and over again. Not the crap we witnessed against Leicester.
