You think Fenway are massively different to the glazers? LFC fans don’t. They’ve avoided scrutiny because they’ve had a manager who has delivered. Fergie was successful under the Glazers for 7 or 8 years.

Let’s see whether the owners will come under fire at Liverpool if the next man struggles - (he will - certainly initially).

There is 0 chance of them maintaining the standards Klopp has set once he leaves. They’re going straight back to mediocrity.

The only downside is now City really are going to just walk it every season (unless something significant develops with those charges).

Klopp and Salah leaving will ruin them.

I'm sure they'll handle the transition better than the shit shitshow we've made of it. We've set the bar so high for self harm, it'll be a long time before any other top club reaches it.

They're both best in class. They simply can't be replaced.

tbf Liverpool fans are among the most precious fannies about. There are similarities between Fenway and the Glazers for sure, they are in it for themselves and to make as much money as possible. There is a slight difference between how they tried to achieve that:

Fenway - invested in the stadium, hired the best available manager in the world and hired an excellent staff around him. LFC fans may think they are carpetbaggers but clearly the staff/players at the club didn't get that memo as they have been getting the very best out of the resources and players they have. Biggest part of that is obviously Klopp but still. Overseen their most successful era in a generation.

Glazers - invested nothing. Nothing in the stadium, not a penny of their own money has gone near the club, actively taken out hundreds of millions. Hired one of the most incompetent directors in global sporting history on account of him having advised them how to buy the worlds most profitable club and leave them with the biggest debt in the sport. Allowed him to dictate sporting policy. Utterly clueless when it comes to hiring CEO's or directors of football and having seen us fail year after year decide that the solution is to hire internally to fix things. Overseen least successful era in a generation.

Conclusion: Glazers and Fenway are not that similar

Fair enough - I still think the biggest difference between the two is the manager they chose. One who’s popularity led to greater power and ultimately success. Klopp making a case in the Board room at day 1 is very different to Klopp making a case at year 5. It’s just the natural evolution of a better manager.

Agree with everything else - have said for years that Woodward is beyond doubt the mastermind behind our demise. One of the most incompetent appointments of all time as far as football success is concerned.

Klopp maginified the differences, he would have been the perfect manager for us and it's only because he was up against the biggest cheats in the history of English football that he isn't walking away with multiple league titles. But if nothing else we shouldn't forget that Woodward interviewed Klopp while he was unemployed and made him run a mile yet less than a year later Liverpool's ownership were able to convince him to take over there at a time they were much worse than us and had less money to spend.

Can't wait for him to be gone. Again, no Salah and they hammer Chelsea and have dropped no points since he's been gone. Say what you like, and it's sickening, but there's a huge chance they'll win the league this season.

You look at the team on paper and it's not that great. Everyone is playing their part and it's well oiled. Even utter shit like Nunez and a finished Van Dijk are playing like world beaters. Horrible. They play Arsenal soon don't they? Can only see Arsenal bottling it again.

This is going to be nauseating isn't it. Every match til the end of the season they'll be having processions, holding hands and singing YNWA and the Liverpool boot room pundits will all be joining in.

Yep. Carragher cheerleading, Gary Neville saying "Well, I'm not a huge fan of Liverpool.... but Klopp deserves to win it..", Roy Keane shaking his head saying "Gary, Gary, Gary.....I can't believe it but I'm agreeing with you", Eni Aluko saying "Where am I again?".

Awful.

It doesn't really matter when you stop to think about it.

Soon you, me, everyone on this forum will be dead...we're a speck of utter irrelevance in the universe.

And even the earth itself and eventually the universe will disppear.

So I don't see there's much actually to worry about because the final destination is the same for everyone and everything.
