Default City's tactical fouling

Was so obvious today. Pellegrini wades in

Quote:
“Every time we tried to arrive in their box they committed fouls. We were innocent in that regard,” he said.

“If you review the game that is why we didn’t create too many chances in the first half. All our offensive moments of attacking ended in a foul. You can look at the statistics. They committed 13 fouls, we committed five. But that wasn’t the reason why we lost.”

fouls are part of the game. this is like complaining "wtf they kept on kicking it out for throw ins!?"

so they are making calculated fouls. wow. seems like the tactic paid off.

no-one has the moral highground when every pro will claim a corner/throw in/penalty/foul/handball every time they can.

Yep. Just part of what they do.

And they're good at it. There's a skill to doing it well.

Just watch our brainless @#%&!s around our own box.

The worst part is Pep denying it. It's very obvious.

Yep. I for one will be very interested to hear his response, and will use this thread to share the details with the wider group.

Pep is a drug cheat and a liar.

No doubt he instructs his supremely funded teams to foul the opposition off the ball.

I think it's fair enough of Switchers to keep on top of this.

Did Mahrez play today or is he still doped up from the AFCON?

I’d take some tactical fouling if we got anywhere 197 points over two seasons FFS

ah I see the narrative is still in full flow then.

I can only imagine what the headlines would be if it were United dominating games and cynically preventing the other team from mounting attacks in a similar fashion.
