So many of our problems are caused by Fred but matic obviously isn’t the answer unless we invent a time machine.

He creates chaos in a position that needs the exact opposite.

Needs addressing in the summer but I know now that Fred will start every game next season.

well... yeah... we need to buy some decent midfielders.

in the meantime, matic is better than fred and three midfielders are better than two. and, if we play two, one of them can't be pogba.

but, even if matic and The Scottish Player gives the best balance, they can't play every week. we all know we need to buy midfielders.

slagging off matic isn't the answer either. some people do it out of habit and ignore his performances. just as an aside - he was not at fault for salah's goal yesterday (also harsh to blame hendermeat). he lost the ball deep in the opposition half, trying to make something happen. the reason it cost us a goal is because lindelof was out of position - not in a useful way, giving matic an option, but simply taking himself out of the game. if everyone pushes up, you can't blame the guy who lost the ball. matic made a couple of shit, lazy passes as well... but it was a cameo in a game where everyone was doing the same - even shaw and bruno.

I’d take Mark £#%&!ing Noble if it meant not having to watch Fred pass the ball to the opposition over and over and over again.

You just know these two will start against Villareal.

I was saying this yesterday. Yes fred is shit. Yes The Scottish Player is ineffective, but what do you do, replace him with the guy who gives a freekick then fails to mark his man, or replace him with the man who didnt track his runner vs leicester and decided bulldozing his way through 3 players despite knowing he was the last line of our defence was a good idea.

Right now no matter what combination we make it will be riddled with mistakes. He could play with 3 in the middle but then youre shoehorning your best player bruno to fill a gap. Years of mismanagement from recruitment and woodward have come back to haunt us , and will continue to do so.

Ultimately we have two players who are "good defensive" players for a team who sits 8-15th in the league. They cant pass or create to save their lives.

The one central midfielder we do have who is technically highly skilled doesnt have a brain and constantly makes defensive errors.

if anything ole should be given props for getting second with a midfield choice of fred The Scottish Player pogba and matic

the scousers had 3 CM yesterday any one of them would make it into our CM. same with city, chelsea , leicester and even a couple of west ham would give mcfred a run for their money ( soucek and rice)


we need signings. once lindelof becomes 3rd choice CB and The Scottish Player and fred are the 3rd and 4th choice CMs we wont be challenging.

That and the glazers need to f*** off, because i can see them putting all their eggs in one basket spending the whole summer to sign sancho and one other player we dont need .

Holding up your hand to acknowledge a mistake has a certain admirable humility in isolation, but watching Fred run about for half the £#%&!ing match doing an impression of the statue of liberty is getting really aggravating tbh.

He’s the opposite of what you’d expect of a player from Brazil tbh - no flair, seems to skill himself up more than anyone else, can’t shoot. Don’t get me wrong he’s really hard working and I don’t think he’s totally awful (he’s definitely made a positive impact to plenty of games), but he’s like an anti-Brazilian footballer
