Loathsome individual - for 10 years was the object of my hate and epitomised all that was horrible about Liverpool FC.

Bloody good player though.

Was it true he was bitter about not coming to United, Lou Macari did instead. Probably urban myth.

£#%&!ing outstanding footballer, the only thing in modernish times would be that hunchback Beardsley for those who did not see him.

Still a @#%&! though.

anyway, also they are showing 3 classic united v rats matches. dunno which ones. in these pc times most likely a win each and one of the 3-3's

macari came south a good few years before dalglish, macari joined us in 73, iirc dalglish joined vermin before the 77-78 season.

Macari was going to sign for vermin, but we hijacked it the night before he wad due to sign.

My dad really rates him too.
I remember him more towards the end of his career.

He was a fantastic footballer, but one of the most punchable faces you will ever see.
Comfortably the best vermin player of all time.
