As is common with such a blunt tool as marking out of 10 jem is getting over-marked on past reputation. He's a sort of Fred Tish Frank Lampard.

I agree with some of what the forums foremost Gordon Sumner impressionist says. It has taken Ronaldo 4 years to really become the world class player we all knew he was going to become so why are we expecting Nanny and Neo to set the world alight?
As for Hargreaves he was a joke before the last world cup and whilst Tevez is utter class I don't think we are going to sign him.
Far too much chirpy optimism on this forum at the moment.

Hargreaves is another Phil Neville his inflated transfer price was based on his above average performance in 2 games in the world cup regardless of what he won playing alongside Ballack at Bayern. He will £#%&! united's midfield this season and I am not a doomlord. Im just not Hargreaves's biggest fan

I sincerely hope you have the balls to admit what a @#%&!wit you are when Hargreaves proves you completely wrong.

I sense that both elephantstone (as a fellow Hargreaves doubter I will now refer to him by the informal nickname of the 'stone) are in a no win situation. When Hargreaves has a good game, which I have no doubt he will from time to time, you will be able to properly point and shout "AAAAAAAGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!" at us whilst when he has a complete fletcher style shocker we will not be in a rubbing in mood as it will have been to the detriment of the football club we both support.

That's down to an infection though.

I'm pleassed to hear that rather than scouting players like he did with all his other signings this summer, Fergie just watched a couple of average performances by Hargreaves in the World Cup, blanked out the fact he is Phil Neville and decided to spend so much money on him.
I could take some of this anti-OH vitriol more seriously if it wasn't so ridiculous. Fergie and Ottmar Hitzfeld both seem to think he's a top class midfielder as did Sven, they may all be wrong as may I on this, not so wrong as to miss the fact that, as some suggest here, he's £#%&!ing useless though, surely?
