That helicopter turning their owner into a crimson Leicestershire pavement stain did wonders for his job security at a time when it looked like he was a dead man walking.

Their fans and the media were lining up to ream him for being a towering figure of dignity in the wake of the A-Team style demise. He said some nice words and put on a somber public demeanour. There's some tough opposition but Paul Ince is surely the most vacuous pundit around. His "analysis" on MoTD consisted of saying "here's a good pass" and "here's another good bit". On the red card he actually says "he's not that sort of player".

How do these people get the job?
