The loans have been a shame for the lad because he looked useful for us under LVG.

Hopefully maybe just homesick.

Dalot and Young with him as back up.

Hopefully I'm wrong and he goes on to be a beast for us. But I'd be surprised if he's still here in 2 years time.
That's not the reason he looked good in our first team against fully grown opposition. He had a lot to him, no doubt energy was a part of it but again you don't get a big reputation in Dutch football and the Ajax academy unless you can play a bit too.

The Palace loan was unfortunate because De Boer was taking him, then he got fired. Although I think he did quite well there overall which is why Fulham brought him in. Ranieri isn't the right coach for someone like him.

We'll see. I suspect he will get a chance back here; up to him to take it.

I must have missed all the times he looked good for us in the first team.

It was easy to do as he's only played 350 minutes for us in the league.

That's enough for some on here.

You can't have missed them. We all thought he was a special talent. Seems silly to pretend it wasn't the case now.

Agreed. Don't know why people have to face young players off against each other. Both could be part of the squad next season. Might be good for Mensah to go out on loan again for the rest of the season, this time with better luck with managers. Twice now he's moved to teams under attacking managers who have quickly made way for very cautious managers. Bournemouth could be a good one for him.

I thought TFM looked good in his few games for us but I watched the extended highlights of Arsenal-Fulham the other day and the lad was terrible when he came on. Maybe it’s confidence but he was out of position and fouling all the time. Tuanzebe has been excellent for Villa at centre back by all accounts.

Ajax want him

Wonder if Woodward will have the sense to try and use him as part of a deal to sign De Ligt?

Yeah I’m sure TFM is going to be deciding factor in whether we get one of the most sought after players in Europe
