Yep, it's the type of transfers that Spurs, and Liverpool have been making, and then our supporters moan about missing, when they turn out to be a success.

He played 9 times last year for newcastle. If he cant get into their shite squad why are we signing him for ours!?

Had a big injury around December time I think...

We’re probably looking for someone to keep Jones company while on the treatment table

Beggars belief. I am all for signing young players. But this notion of other teams have done it is a bit of a myth. Liverpool went through 25 years of shite average players before they signed some of the current crop . Their best players are all internationals , van dijk was established at southampton . Salah was established at roma.

There are some very good young foreign players out there they should be going for. Instead we are competing with leeds and everton for a swansea winger and enquiring about someone who has played 10 games for newcastle due to an injury...

We need a mix - I'd rather some youngsters who give a shit than overpaid international £#%&!ers who give £#%&! all.

Looks like there’s talent there tbf, very similar to Carrick.

But would be much better leaving him at Newcastle for next season and see how he develops. Get in his ear and tap him up for next summer or even possibly January.

Yeah but then if he's any good you'll have sparky lamenting how we've left it too late and now have to pay £60m to prise him away from Everton
