Better than certain players we have been linked with, tbf. Still pretty underwhelming if its instead of the likes of Vidal, though.

how many people have actually watched Vidal play for a few seasons?

De Jong is proven in Premier league for 8 million quid! its a no brainer

If we signed him and Vidal, suddenly we've got great options and variation in midfield
agreed pol - never really understood it either.

Good player imo. Would be a quality option to play alongside Herrera.

I have. There is no comparison.
One would perhaps be able to fulfill a role and be a low risk for the money option. The other is possibly the most complete midfielder in Europe.

Just wouldn't be surprised if he sees De Jong as a cheap solution until January and then decides whether he wants Vidal or Strootman - giving them both a few months to see how they have recovered. Can't see both coming and he rates Strootman very highly..........

The thing about LvG that some people who want big names are going to have to understand is that it's all about the team.

Surely having seen what he did with the dutch, it's obvious that he makes a team better than the sum of its parts. If a player suits the system he wants, then he will play.

He would be a good short term option and it would make us more solid. He can actually play a bit as well.

Rather stick with what we have if we want a strootman stop gap. Clevz, fletch, kagawa, even fellaini, can surely fill in until carrick is back.

Bit gutting to see khedira and Carvalho supposedly be available and not even linked anymore.

DeJong is better than £#%&!ing Carvalho.

Anyone second guessing Big Louis Vader will be made to look a dick. If they really are £#%&!ing about with transfers he will kick right £#%&!ing off. Sitting back enjoying the ride.

Dunno why everyone is against De Jong. Ex City player but so what? Not like he loved his time there tbh. He is the type of player every other team hates but the player the fans would end up loving. We need some muscle in our midfield and he would certainly bring that.

Get him signed.

I agree with this. If De Jong helps out the defence and allows the rest of the team to play such beautiful football then Im all for it.

My advice would be to avoid reading/posting anything from the Express or the Metro, pal. Absolute joke papers.

Unless it's pro-Vidal.
