Got to respect that

Would love to see us at some point smash the likes of Madrid or Barca

Don’t forget Roma away
When have Barcelona or Madrid been there for the taking, but we’ve not taken advantage?

Proper European powerhouse. We are such frauds!

Shameful
Our closest comparison in recent years is probably *that* 6-1.

We used to go at teams in europe, in the 90s teams like juventus and Barcelona would turn up at old trafford and we'd £#%&!ing go for them. Even in the Nou Camp we went toe-to-toe with Barca and played some of the best football we've ever played.

But...Then we got turned over big style by Madrid in 2000, which is when we started with the 4-5-1 shit...fergie brought Quieroz on board and we sort of went towards this cat n mouse style of playing in europe. It served us pretty £#%&!ing well tbh though and that period from 2007-2011 was obviously a real high point for the club in terms of European football.

You don't feel we'll ever get there again tbh. Certainly not with the current ownership and chief exec. none of them have the slightest clue what they're doing. Despite how shabby madrid and barca looked You could certainly never ever imagine either of them finishing outside the top 4 in spain consistently over a 7 year period like we have. And Bayern most certainly wouldn't.

Apples and oranges.

Their leagues are poo. They didn’t have to transition from a managerial god. And while Barca held on to Messi, we lost Ronaldo, who Madrid gained.

And yes we’re badly run.

Using tonight’s result to pour salt on old wounds is like something a poor scouse wum would come up with. Ziggy has had a mare.

Not really. I don't think we surrendered, except maybe the 6th. We were still trying to get back into it and played recklessly.

But they didn't down tools like Barca tonight. Shameful performance.

Hmmm.

well we'll find out then. Because we're playing the 4th best team in spain on Sunday.

Worst in world football by a fair distance. Most people couldn’t believe it when Psg stumped up 190m for Neymar, well Barcelona effectively took that, doubled it, then £#%&!ed the whole lot against a wall. No wonder they’re all sniping the shit out of each other.

I really wouldn’t be surprised if Messi didn’t £#%&! the whole thing off and go back to Newell’s for his swansong while he can still run. He must know things are only going to get worse with Suarez, Rakatic and Busquets all coming to the end.

Very well run club. All these young players had top class veterans like Lewandowski, Muller and Neuer to guide them and keep them in line. Who did we have? £#%&!ing Lingard and Pogba.

De Gea, Matic, Mata?

Our player recruitment and scouting is utterly £#%&!ing dreadful. I reckon I’ve been more clued up on potential signings and deals to be had than the £#%&!ing #@&%!s at OT in the last 10 years, just from half paying attention to the European game and playing FIFA/FM talk about our scouting network and contacts £#%&!ing infuriates me.

Another thing going for Bayern is that Germany produce brilliant players and they all pretty much want to play for Bayern. Can’t say the same for British players and United

Tbf dunk probably wrote the initial tweet himself

So odd for a united fan to have such an agenda against our own captain.

This - they can hoover up the best players in Germany whenever they want. In 2013 they beat Dortmund in the CL final having already signed their best young player (Goetze) and then got Legwandowski in the same summer.

They are an excellently run club though - something we are not.

Wouldn’t disagree tbh, it was just the next tweet down could’ve used Pogba, or Lukaku, it just highlights United’s shite transfer policy.

This. Were we a gnats %@#$&! off winning the title with a squad that just needed that extra something to push them over the line, then great, £100m on Sancho and off we go. We are so £#%&!ing far from being that and need so much that they have to be smarter in the market, have to.

They have so many players the wrong side of 30, and very little money.

Their rebuilding is going to be a very painful experience...they are going to end up like AC Milan

Or the United of the last 7 years..

Munich played 4 games against English teams this season and are 17-4 up on aggregate
