Player amnesty until a season of LVG

I'm keen to see what can be achieved, fellani smalling nani janners jones etc

Think we should hold fire on some of the slatings?

If we can hold fourth and get a season of LVG under our belt this would be a fantastic season IMHO

slate the players all you want on here it doesnt make a blind bit of difference as to what will happen on the pitch

I always worry what the players think when they log on here the day after a game and see the match day thread

Look at the quality of the league, Chelsea are a solid side, City have not really started this season as yet, Liverpool are average, Arsenal are average, Spurs are Spurs. Anything less than 4th would be a disaster, would you seriously accept Utd finishing behind the likes of Southampton who basically ripped their squad up and started again this season.

4th is the bare minimum that should be achieved. In terms of points gained it has been a dreadful start to the season, happily Utd are still in touch and you have to expect that results will start to come.

I do think it's a tough league, tbh, so I'm not surprised to see most teams dropping lots of points.

But I agree. For me lower than 3rd would be a disappointment.

Bit surprised at the reaction tbh. I was merely pointing out that it's very reactionary on here and that some players are really showing some improvement. My all be it clumsy title was about giving lads a fair crack of the whip with our new coach, not censorship RAWK nonsense.

I expect a lot from Van Gaal, his record demands it, as does the money spent. 3 months into the season now, plenty of time to work with the players, we should be starting to see some improvements. There are some good signs, the way the back 4 set up in possession yesterday was very brave, full backs pushed on with Smalling and Rojo split wide, Blind dropping. To counter that there is still too much of a reliance on the long ball and early crossing, finding a balanced midfield set up has been a problem.
