would be amazed if he does anything in management. He seems too withdrawn.

Would have loved if one of the co92 could have done it. but they all seem as thick as mince. Last hope is Butt.

I doubt a new manager would keep him on.

Is Mou's demise in line with the exit of his No 2? Seems to have gone bad around the same time.

Rui left in the summer, it's been bad since Mourinho got here.

Rat and sinking ship springs to mind..

Someone mentioned elsewhere, but Fergie seemed to adapt to changing times and delegated more and more day to day tasks as players changed.

Mourinho seems to be doing the opposite. He's had the same number 2 for his whole career and now seems intent on doing everything on his own.

Still seems very hands on with training. Not that this is inherently bad, but it seems more about him and only him than ever before.

I don't see how going from a team mate to coach has the same effect as bringing in a new coach from the outside. Same when Giggs got the number 2 gig under Van Gaal.
