Why on earth would someone with the reputation and pedigree of Zidane come in on some sort of caretaker deal?

I honestly don't believe we'd get him the way we are right now.

Could be excuses but it sounds a lot like he has far less control than he'd like at the club.
He needs to £#%&! the £#%&! off. That's all about saving what remains of his reputation, nothing more. The man is a self serving @#%&!. £#%&! him.

Yep, not going to happen. If we sack now and put a caretaker in charge then it’ll be Carrick/Mackenna.

No way any reputable manager would accept a short term deal with this shower of shit.

Tomorrow will be the third anniversary of moanrinho's 2nd sacking at Chelsea. Here hoping for tradition.

Is that right? Thought he was sacked later in the season than that.

And he was a title winner the year before.

What's our excuse?

On 17 December 2015, after losing 9 of 16 Premier League matches, Chelsea announced that they had parted company with Mourinho "by mutual consent". The club went on to state, "The club wishes to make clear Jose leaves us on good terms and will always remain a much-loved, respected and significant figure at Chelsea."[140] For a bean counter it's the bottom-line, it's cheaper if to fire him if he doesn't make it to the CL. I pretty much pennies, that we are talking about, effing bean counter.

It was more rhetorical. It just felt later in the season.

Only underlines how ridiculous our silent backing of him continues to be.

We're sixth. 19 points off the top. 11 off the top four. Zero goal difference. Worst start in 27 years.

All the players hate him.

And this is his third season.

No top side in Europe would tolerate this.

His biggest problem is he can't adapt with the times. Fergie was the best at that and often admits the way the way he handled players changed as he brought in players with different personalities and upbringings compared to the old fashioned British football culture in the early days. That's why he changed the backroom staff every so often to have a new voice and fresh gauge on matters.

Imagine working with Mourinho everyday. He'll throw subbies at you to the media all the time bemoaning your existence. He complains about attitudes yet is the most negative and attention seeking of them all. He values and rewards players who suck up to him like Young, Matic and Fellaini yet wonders why he doesn't get new players. Valencia was also one of his favorites until he liked a social media post which coincidentally has led to his ousting from the team. He has constantly put down Martial from day one yet undermining him to the point Martial wanted to leave. Mourinho fans say Perisic's World Cup performances show he was justified in wanting to bring Perisic here, but bring up Pogba's World Cup performances and there is no response. And now ironically it's Martial's goals that have probably kept him in a job up to now.

Players don't blindly trust his methods anymore and he probably has lost some belief too because at least in his early days he was very good at identifying the pieces to the jigsaw and his transfers were generally spot on. Now he gives up on his own signings within a few months. Why would the board give him more money, and why would you want to play for him?

People fail to realize that he average around 70 goals a season with his teams, only exception was the couple of years at Madrid. Why a manager who has an average like that can be hired onto a club that was brought onto the map by a swashbuckling person in SMB.

Business as usual

This is 'usual' for us now, is it?

How about if we were relegated? Would that be business as usual too?

Awesome.

Need the share price to plummet or we're in for this agony until the summer at the earliest

Business as usual. Jesus £#%&!ing Christ.

If we accept this, we are no better than Liverpool for the last 25 years. Just watching the world go by, assuming all will be well simply because we're a big club.

This situation is completely and wholly unacceptable. Both in the tangible position and how we play & conduct ourselves.

It would not be tolerated in any other major European club. For us, it's 'business as usual'.

£#%&! off.

The club deserves all the misery it's going to get.

The fans, however, deserve better.

he won't be here next season, that i'm confident of.

the question is, will we just get another over the hill manager who does more in press conferences than he actually does on the pitch, or someone whose tactics will make united look like they're actually playing football suited to the modern day?

He’s going nowhere until CL football is mathematically gone, I’m confident in that. Again, comes down to how poorly the club is run on the football side of things that we're prepared to let this shit go on.
