He obviously has ability, he’s probably closest thing to what we are looking for in the Prem but he will cost a £#%&!ing fortune

I would much prefer we go for someone like Bruno Guimarães who plays for Bruno Guimarães, fairly young, strong in the tackle and has a great range of passing, he even bagged a couple assists the other day actually.

hard to judge him from last night as Moyes made them look like pub players for 99% of the match.....With Fat Frank gone, i suspect Chelsea won't be in for him unless Tuchel thinks he can be a guy like Axel Witsel was for him at Dortmund. I just see Rice as a carbon copy of Scott McT so what is the need?

https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...-rice-23474411

article states he won more tackles than any other player on the pitch last night

Rice looks a far more natural 6 than The Scottish Player. We badly need a top-class holding midfielder.

Scotty 2 Hotty is more of a box-to-box number 8 centre-mid, with a great engine, and the ability to score goals.

ok...haven't seen a ton of Rice play and that didn't help much last night given their set up defensively

if he can cover ground, pass a ball and help build from the back then he's useful...oh and not defend deep like he thinks he's a CB like Matic does constantly

I don’t mind rice but there’s better players out there for the price being quoted. Didn’t he start out as a CB? I think he would be better suited back there, don’t think he covers enough ground to be top class DM

Neves looked to be the answer to our needs last season, Duanepipe no less regarded him as a perfect foil to Pogba.
Wolves are stagnating and a selling club.
I think he would be cheaper than Rice.

Decent call.

But I'm just bumping my own thread, truth be told.

*Sorry, disregard.

Got a bit giddy in trying to get a head start in the mod race.

Some mod you are. Back on topic.

Rice replaces McT and Fred and frees up another spot for an attacking midfielder.
