“Adventurous spirit”

This is the thing with long term wums - sooner or later the perp always overcooks it.

This. Jem and Hedgers are right. He was a journeyman, he played as a journeyman and now it's time to leave.

I don't want him shot, I don't want him clubbed over the head or anything like that. Just goodbye, thanks and I wish him well.

I’d have thought Valencia would be tough to get rid of given he’s due a testimonial. Same with smalling and jones. They’ll probably be wanting a bigger payoff than normal anyway.

Testimonials are at the club's discretion anyway, aren't they? They aren't a right.. unless they're in the player's contract I suppose.

It's ok, his contract is written in English, the stupid @#%&! can't read it.

Strange how he's been totally frozen out over the last few months. He went from captain to just basically dropped completely.

Pissed Mou off and was ostracised, got injured, came back, was monumentally shit and obviously completely spent, been 'injured' ever since..

Scorer of my favourite ever United goal v Bolton, October 2009.

Will always love him. In my Top 20 United legends.

Without him, Rooney was nothing. NOTHING.

I've always really liked him - he appeals to my personality. An unsmiling tough nut. I remember reading that when he went to Wigan the club expected to help him with everything and he just sorted it all out.

He's a mans man.

Overall has had a very good career at United

Transitioned really well from winger to full-back. Doesn't get the respect he deserves.

A no nonsense, solid, consistent performer.

SInce 2017 though he has suffered alot of injuries, this season he has barely played.

34yrs old this summer I think it is the right time for us to move him on
