Obviously a Madrid paper, but not much has been said in Spain over Fabregas.

Wasn't he meant to have come out and stated his intention to stay on Monday?
he has said nothing, his agent however has denied speaking to united but he would have to do that anyway, someone has to be encouraging us to go in with another bid, I am hoping it is barca despite their outward denials.

Both Fabregas and Rooney are in the same position. Both clubs are saying they are not for sale but neither player has come out and said that they want a move, all the press have printed is "friends of" and "sources close to the club" which they can make up all week long.

I wonder if some actually are rewriting Fabregas standing in the league.

He's £#%&!ing outstanding in the premiership and if we got him wed be solid favourites to retain the title.

36.5m - utterly £#%&!ing around if they didnt accept 30-35, you need to go in with 40. If you want the man, get the man. World class players aren't sold when the buyer plays a "shrewd" game. We signed Bebe for 7m, Young for near 20 with a year left on his deal

How's about some proven talent and offset the fee with less stupid £#%&!ing mistakes?

Couldn't agree more. Think we'll go pretty high for him tbh, we've still got a bit of time to play with so there's not immediate rush. 35 will be the next bid and then probably get him somewhere inbetween that and 40. We've had the nod off someone in Fabregas' camp that he's up for the move, so we just need to pay what it takes to get Barca to accept. Get it £#%&!ing done, ideal player for us.

Which is fair IMO. He's 26 and done it all more or less.

Carrick and Fabregas. Magnetic ball.

At least you all now understand why Ferie stopped signing central midfielders.

Completely and utterly agree. Just pay whatever it takes ffs. Anything up to £45m is fine by me.

Xavi: "Cesc rumours? It's speculation, he's calm. He's training hard, he's very motivated. He has a contract and is important for the team."

The "he has a contract" bit is interesting. Why he mention that?

Back on.

As opposed to:

"Cesc rumours? It's speculation. He's panicky, he's half-arsed in training, really de-motivated. He's free and nobody gives a shit".
