First one I really remember, all away too

that pass from Hughes to Robins at Forest away.

Must have watched the Newcastle away game 100x on vhs over the years. Was my favourite game as a kid

Yep - I was 10yo. Formative.

Very sentimental cup run for me. Old man passed away between the semi and the final. My last ever conversation with him was a phone call where we chatted about the semi replay.

Afaik still the only team to win it without playing a single tie at home.

I remember being out playing football and legging it back to watch the Newcastle match.

Got that video for Xmas 1990, must have watched it about 50 times between Christmas and May, then it was a recording of Rotterdam watched over and over until Blackburn 93.

Still not sure why that Forest goal was ruled out, what could have changed had that stood!!!

It was a great cup run, I like many others did the whole lot. The atmosphere at the city ground, it was first time I saw reds battling against reds as cockney reds and Mancs were fighting each other like f*** before the game......I still never found out what the beef was.
The floods at Hereford, the Newcastle game where we drank through the night watching Tyson getting beat by buster Douglas. Also there was pitch invasions every time the Geordies scored.
Away again at Sheffield, the season after Hillsborough and the Yorkshire police stopping vans and cars and pouring our booze in to the grid. The 2 Oldham games and obviously the 2 finals

I remember reading the paper the next day and Steve Coppell said that we had the makings of a team that will dominate for years to come.

What a season that was. I'd just stopped working at OT and that cup run was immense.
