I can't understand United fans not being confident going into a new season.

There won't be a lot in it, if we were to sign a couple of top players before the end of the transfer window then I'd be inclined to say we'll win it again. However I can see us again being over-reliant on Van Persie to score all our goals and carrick to Marshall the midfield alongside whichever non-entity is starting with him.
