Why wait? We know this season is going to be something to try and get through the best we can. If the club had bought the 2 midfielders ole wanted it wouldn’t even be an issue.

I’d suggest waiting another 18 months or not bothering.

I’d imagine the point is if Fergie wanted to keep him badly enough, the club would have done the necessary deal to do so.

As it was, he tried to absolve himself from any responsibility for the club losing a highly rated young player by claiming he thought Pogba had another year left on his contract.

This was after fergie spent the summer leading up to that season bigging up Pogba as a reason not to buy anyone (of course fergie would never use a young player as a cover for the club not having money to spend because of the debt servicing pressures at the time).

When did Pogba hire raiola? Was it well before that match or in response to it?
