Typical BooMoon solution to tonight's game:

Quote:
We need 5 more quality players:

Mangala, Fernando, Cancelo, English backup keeper, Rekik.

And, Isco, Coentrao, Pogba. Would love Isco or Pogba. Prefer Pogba, added benefit of rubbing salt into the rags' wounds.

"added benefit"? the only reason they'd want him is because they think it'd get one over on us

despite all the #topreds saying we're not allowed to laugh at city because they're doing better than us at the moment, nights like tonight show that they're still a comical club. none of that matters anyway, they would laugh at us for losing games when they were shit.

city in europe always a hoot

Their reactions as a club to getting beat by Real Madrid, Bayern and now Barcelona have been extraordinary. Their campaign to be taken seriously and to be loved by everyone will have been harmed no end by their quite frankly childish reactions to these games.

They come off the pitch like spoiled children who've been told they can't have a pony for christmas, throwing strops in tv interviews and press conferences. It's not as if there was anything controversial about the sending off or the penalty, there were clear cut ffs.

I have been guilty many many times of spouting off whilst gutted or angry about a result or performance, and I've lost count of the times I've reread my posts the day after and been embarrassed but bloody hell some people tonight...

MDM was doing just fine until the penalty (that wasn't) and the red card (that also wasn't).

MP IMO got his tactics pretty spot on. As much as they had tonnes of possession , which we all KNEW they would have before the game -it's just how it is with Barça - , they didn't actually frighten us until the penalty.

Well done Manuel. Well done lads. Well done MDM, you especially were robbed tonight mate.

CTID.

Why not?

Just curious - I like that it's 'controversial' as it makes it more gutting for them.

I actually thought the foul (the contact) took place outside the box

It did, but continued inside the box. Ref are not merely allowed but required to give the penalty in such cases.

That Alves article is tremendous

They try to brush it off but you know deep down it burns them that they'll never be recognised
