I think the whole shirt number thing is shit but we can't really have taken 9 off him surely, pissing off the long term future of the club to give a guy who's here for 2 years max a shirt number he's so attached to he's not worn it regularly anywhere seems a bit £#%&!ing gormless even for us.

To be fair, if they did change him from 9 to 11 without discussing with him or telling him then it's understandable he would be a little disgruntled. As a forward 9 switching to 11 would be seen as a slight downgrade. Would it have been so hard to give the 35 year old number 11 instead of a kid who were pinning some longer term hopes on?

Agree to an extent, his decision making as a striker is very poor at times which was highlighted by Rashford's emergence. He's young though and I think his all round game will make him a world class player.
