my first comment - actually true if either italy or spain won - we"ll need an extra midfielder. I kind of trust southgate on that, though, because... if nothing else, he sets up to counter the oppo's strengths. v germany, I thought it was potentially counterproductive and dangerous, but could appreciate the intent. I don't think he'll go 5 v italy, because he will see the a different threat.
