Given we've got Casemiro, Eriksen, Mount and Amad all injured, we're pretty short on options. Agree, not sure why he didn't play Mainoo, but he doesn't tell the players to not run, give the ball away and generally not play well.

mount? seriously?

you don't have tell our forwards to give the ball away or martial not to run. you gets what you picks.

even if we had a fit squad, his determination to play 6-8-8 would kill us. he bought mount because he'd rather play that kind of nothing that a midfielder. with limited options, not playing mainoo and amrabat is £#%&!ing criminal.

No luck with injuries, attitude problems, inherited an ill-disciplined squad.

Sure, ETH is part of the problem, but only so far as a lot of the players are choosing to ignore him.

He can't make them pass to red shirts and carry out the tactics properly.
He can't make them stop working, trying and moaning.

Nobody is happy that the Glazers are still at the club. But it doesn't give EtH a free pass.

The football is shit, the results are shit and he's shit. Nothing about the glazers changes that. The job is too big for him and he's drowning.

So what was last season ?

Do you not give him a chance with the multiple players lost through injury and police investigations this season ?

He's not above criticism agreed, but he's £#%&!ing shit and out of his depth ???

Or at least partway through a game switch it up.

We should try a purer 4-3-3 and actually interchange at the top with Bruno out against the Scousers.

right, but it's not not working because they're on the wrong wings.

they're inside forwards, the whole point is they cut in to create shooting opportunities and allow the fullbacks to overlap. swapping wings would achieve absolutely nothing, antony in particular would be even more ineffective.

Even if that's the theory, it's clearly not working. Antony has an awful shot on him and Premier League standard left & centre backs know what he's going to do and collapse on him quickly, we don't overlap nearly enough, and even when we do our right backs are brainless and shit at crossing.

So why does ten Hag persist with this and expect different outcomes?

antony is frustrating on the right, but he would absolutely pointless on the left.

Of course. All they'd have to do is offer him the inside rather than the outside.

The game today is so quick and so athletic that it's going to become harder and harder for peg legs to thrive. You need to be able to play the way the ball dictates because you don't get time on it to £#%&! around.

Carrick would be 100m+ today. I've even noticed Amrabat's passing from right to left is awful. Left to right, excellent.

They are not inside forwards. They are players whose strongest foot (or only foot) is the opposite to the wing they play on. Not many inside forwards about these days. Suppose a number 10 is the closest you get.

So much shit in here I’m tempted to bad rep.

Every manager in the world surely wanted Kane. You think the guy that got canned at Sheff United this week is tutting into his beer saying ‘wanted Kane didn’t i, look who I got’. The Aussie fella actually had Kane and he £#%&!ed off. Not getting Kane doesn’t mean you shoot your load on a promising teenager with a back problem. Or you throw your hands in the air and say well, maybe next year.

That he wanted Costa is pure speculation. Much more likely he would trust someone he’s worked with previously (seems to be somewhat of an MO) and there wasn’t even any media talk of the Porto guy.

He said himself last week he wouldn’t do/take the job without full transferí control so seems odd to claim the opposite.

With the players, I think it’s his actual job to get them to pass well and score goals or find some that can, so yeah ultimately that’s on him.

And I don’t think anyone at all is happy that the glazers are still here.

Apart from that, good post.
