Default What's our current strongest XI?

Tbh, I knew there would be a lot of tinkering at the start of the season, but I (perhaps too optimistically) expected that we'd have some idea of our strongest XI by now. With the City game coming up I'd like to think (again, perhaps with too much optimism) that Fergie will play said best side.

Anyway, what do you lot think our strongest current XI looks like?

I reckon it's probably something like a 4-4-2, with one winger.

-------------------- De Gea ------------------
---- Rafael ---- Evans --- Rio ----- Evra----
------------ Anderson -- Carrick ------------
---- Valencia ---------------- Cleverley -----
-------------- RVP ------ Rooney ------------

Ideally, with everyone fit I would say

DDG

Rafael-Evans-Vidic-Evra

Carrick-Anderson

Nani-Kagawa-Rooney

Van Persie

CB is difficult, I like Smalling but he has one major mistake a match in him, Rio is still very classy but his pace is gone.

No idea what to expect going into the city game, could be any line up.

First off I'm loving the fact that everyone believes DDG to be the #1 keeper

Here goes

DDG

Rafael Jones Vidic Buttner

Valencia Carrick Kagawa Nani

Rooney RVP

£#%&! knows, it depends who we're playing and who's in and out of form. it doesn't have giggs, scholes or young in it, that's for sure.

just one mobile, energetic, physically dominant midfielder would transform this side. just one.

don't you think it's bad enough watching us as it is

It's almost impossible to state our best starting XI because it has to include players that can not maintain any form of consistency Anderson, for example. He should be everyone's best XI based on what he should do but in all reality does anyone seriously believe he'll build on his cameo yesterday? I wish it could be true but I'm less than confident.

FWIW

De Gea
Rafael - Rio - Vidic - Evra
Carrick - Anderson
Valencia - Rooney - Nani
RVP

if arse flop this season, which it looks like they will, Wiltshire has got to have his 'thinking about his future' cap on, surely a real effort to sign him. no one else in the PL particularly stands out.

All 'good' pro's but is that what we need? Young looked 'good' at villa. I Like Felaini, just don't think he's worldy classy enough for what we need.

No Scholes, Giggs or Rio, sadly, definitely no Ashley £#%&!ing Young.

Depending on how Vidic is when he returns, Smalling to take over..

I'd swap Scholes for Lindegard.
