Was tidy but he played before Bruno and Rashford came on and Leipzig tired which opened up the game

Love that he doesn’t take too many touches and just gets the ball moving at a good tempo

Him in a diamond with Fred, The Scottish Player and Fernandes with Rashford and Martial ahead of them would be interesting

Hard game for him to start considering how little of the ball we had first half, worked hard and always keeps it moving quickly. Gonna be good for us this season.

thought he was quite tidy with the ball when he was able to get the ball...which wasn't a lot

he's better defensively than i thought and worked hard. Fits well in that false 9 like Bruno but i still think he'd be really good alongside McT becuase he's better on the ball than Fred.

He’s clearly a very good player. Thank god we’re discussing players like this now rather than Lingard and Pereira.

Yeah agreed, did well, tidy without really opening up.

Not entirely sure where all this hysteria about him not starting has come from. Oh yeah, the press mainly.

s2c a few previously well thought of posters on here behaving like school gate mothers.... why isn't my son in the team etc....

It's almost like a 23 year old player that has played for the same club, in the same system with pretty much the same players for 12 years might need a while to get used to playing at a different club, in a different country and in a new system

Was really good in possession. Think he gave the ball away once which is pretty good considering how well Liepzig pressed.

[SIZE="2"]Note the correction

The Ajax academy, they are one of the teams that constantly produce their own talent from their academy system and promote them through to the first team.

Surely you know this

Player Development & Recruitment: The Ajax Case Study

Written in May 2019

Quote:
From the current squad of 26 players listed on their website, most come from Dutch club’s youth academy or were recruited at a young age and were then developed by Ajax into first-team players. Only nine members of the squad were acquired at a later stage in their careers (over 23 years of age).
Thought you'd know this considering the amount you have claimed to watch them

Has to be a regular starter now.

Would rather be playing him into fitness than that absolute fraud Pogba.
