With hindsight most of these are catastrophic.

But at the time they were signed I can't remember feeling that way.

It does seem odd, doesn't it?

Many of us were wary of Di Maria seeing us as a stop gap before going to PSG but I think we were largely positive about most if not all of the signings.

He's been a colossal disappointment for a few years now, be honest. All the more disheartening given that he started pretty well.

Had a horrible season last year, nqat, though didn’t play anywhere near as badly as the hysterics on here would suggest in the main. Was brilliant at City, for example.

That’s the frustrating thing and unfortunately, we appear to have too many players like him who can look truly excellent on occasions but more often than not are really bad, meaning bad, not bad meaning good.

Basically, he doesn’t work anywhere near hard enough to be a top striker. Has to be one of the laziest players around. I’ve never seen him bust a gut to get on the end of any ball. Just doesn’t want it bad enough.

He was brilliant at city. But that's it. It's not enough.

Seems to react poorly to ageing strikers being brought in from PSG. The solution here is simple; we sell Cavani.
