Casemiro motm by a country mile
His best performance so far

Nice to see Rashford and Martial continue their very promising scoring start to the season

Special mention to AWB who put in his best performance since his debut season
Strangely good on the ball

Great to start back with a win even against a really really shite Forest side
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, AWB was ok today. Didn’t face any real threat from the opposition and managed to not blaze his crosses miles over the goal .

Casemiro was brilliant . Ran the whole show

The control of the middle of the park by Varane Shaw Casimero and Eriksen was key with the movement further up field.

Said earlier but great performance from Shearer on commentary.

Like some Fe Fi Fum calculator components factory, some massive pluses there and some huge minuses.

I fear Elanga may be a big number 2

Casemiro? He’s the one.

Agreed. I wonder how much he truly regrets not signing for us in 96? That 260 goals would have been 300+ and another great lad from the north east in our history.

Will take that. Feels like we’re missing more than Martinez and Dalot.

Martial was a bit lucky with his goal. Antony should have scored but points are points.

He will never admit to it, not least because he genuinely thinks it would be disrespectful to Newcastle (which is fair enough really)

But a mate of my dad's - a big Blackburn fan who was acquainted with some of the people at the club - said at the time that SOP was absolutely gutted that Walker had stopped him joining us, and everybody there knew it.

Enjoyed that second half felt like an exercise in energy conservation. Casemiro superb throughout. Shout outs to Shaw, Malacia and AWB, all really good. Rashers first half, obvs.

More of that.

Only downside was having to watch beek wobble about for 20 minutes. It's almost cruel at this point.

Absolutely correct, Riccers.

Plain as the nose on your face what happened there. It was all done and dusted until we came up to approaching Jack “over my dead body” Walker. Shearer + Eric… the dream team.

“Chose his boyhood club” my arse.
