Default Harry Kane

would he be a good solution? imagine his ability to hold the ball in midfield and link up further up the pitch

no way we could get him but he’d be mustard for us

I actually do think one of the best strikers in the world would be a good solution to the problems we are asking Anthony Martial to solve

Would the premier league’s top striker for about the last decade be a good replacement for.Martial?

Tough one.

If we get new owners by the summer, I can see us going for him. We won’t get Mbappe and we’ll want a big statement signing. He’ll want to stay in England to break Shearer’s record. Won’t go to city. Won’t go to Liverpool. Newcastle or Chelsea? Possibly.

it’s easy to be snide but there are many on here who have sniffed at the idea

An absolut meh for me and I used to love him years back (after the king Defoe went north)

Get him or don't, there's 10 other strikers I'd prefer / get excited about....

Exactly. In fergies day we’d have signed him no worries.

Not now though.

Did he ever sign a new contract with Spurs after his flirting with city last year?

Breaking the bank for him would prove our intentions and elevate us to a different level.

Great player, but his age combined with his injury track record is probably not what we need. He will have england tax on him too, I think any team would be lucky to get him less than 100 million.

There are younger players with potential who can help us for around 100 million.

Much like Shearer will end his career with amazing stats and nothing to show for it.

Shearer took a team from a mill town and lead them to a league title

This.

Thirty in the Summer with a lot of miles on the clock.

Would score plenty in his first couple of seasons, but the likes of Osimhen and even Nkunku would be better long-term.

Kane would be a great signing for a season or two but his best days are behind him.
