Basically said that the ref got it right because he wasn't interfering with play.

Had a chart and everything

Completely forgot to mention why Evans had to try and cut it out.

End of discussion you thick @#%&!.

Apparently it's the correct decision, unanimously in the media. I assume this is because it's against United I can see no other reason
Mental isn't it, here's the rule:

Quote:
A player in an offside position is only penalised if, at the moment the ball touches or is played by one of his team, he is, in the opinion of the referee, involved in active play by:

interfering with play or
interfering with an opponent or
gaining an advantage by being in that position
Now how in the name of £#%&! was Cisse not interfering with an opponent there?

The only reason the referee spoke to the linesman was because of Pardews complaints

Because newcastle united's greatest ever player and a scouser said so.

Shearer and Lawrenson, it's the correct decision because he's not interfering so not offside.

£#%&!.
Off.

If he's not there in an offside position then Evans doesn't put it into his own net, of course he's £#%&!ing interfering

Precisely. He was "active" because Evans was tracking Cisse back and diverted the ball into the net trying to defend his goal from him. Still, it was United so £#%&! it, correct decision

Remember when Nani scored after that helmet Hurelho Gomes the spurs keeper just decided to award himself a free kick even though the ref didn't actually give it? Remember the £#%&!ing inquest after that?

weren't so keen on quoting the rulebook that day, were they? Things like play to the whistle and 'only the ref can award free kicks'.

If it favours United, it's controversy. If it doesn't - ah well, let it slide.

The furore over the disallowed goal at wastelands died down quick enough, £#%&! all mention of the nailed on penalty we should've had there either.. There's some @#%&!s still talking about Vidic not getting sent off in the league cup final ffs

Not one £#%&!ing mention of the penalty Newcastle got at OT last season for an amazing Rio tackle either, cost us 2 points that.. I can guarantee that the infamous 5 goal penalty (that was correctly awarded ffs) will be brought up plenty of times whenever we play spurs though

One rule for United, another for everyone else.

£#%&! 'em
