He was player of the year ffs. Must be doing something right.

But you have to question his long term viability - the lad's all arse.

Has a big head too.

United's combination play yesterday was very poor in general. Shaw's an easy target but they were mostly not on the right page.
Who says he has to bang a cross in
Just look to beat your opposition player on the outside and the other opposition defenders have to scramble back which could leave space for a pull back
He just shits out of it and takes the easy option

It was obvious when it happened and it’s even more clear watching it back

What's obvious to me is he should have passed it to Lingard.

It was a poor piece of play but not everything has to be a character defect. So easy from the stands.

Nothing against the lad, but he's an utterly dreadful footballer. He can't attack to even a basic level and is a poor defender. He can run quite quickly in a straight line for his size, and that's about it.

Moves constantly break down either because he's on the ball, or more often, because he's too fat to bother moving forward and creating space for someone to pass.

He's several levels below what's required.

Some might disagree, but, well, they're wrong.

But nothing against him though.

I feel no animosity towards him. That leg break looks like it's pretty much ended his career as a potentially top level player. At least, we'll put it down to that, or of kindness.

His tracking back is borderline unprofessional. Obviously we have about six more pressing positions to sort but he is never a top level full-back.

If he was playing for another club and was up for sale we wouldn't be interested.

We should be moving him on for that reason alone.

People splitting hairs over whether he should cross or cut back

He's £#%&!ing dreadful right now. That's all that matters. The rest is just distraction.

Even worse, it's him or Young.

Lazy lazy player. Stopped playing after 60 odd minutes. Kept on losing his man, almost expects lindelof to cover for him due to his inability to track back. We need to sort his replacement in the next window, we missed a trick letting arsenal sign Tierney.

Noticed that. Stopped running. Receive ball, stop, turn around and pass back/square. Every time. The worst part, as you say, is that if not Shaw, then Young,

The wolves fans singing 'you fat bastard' when he went to take the corner. Felt a bit sorry for him. Don't any more.

He needs to up his game, if it was evident to us surely Ole and his backroom staff must see it. Is there any kid that can play left back in the under 23's?

That’s my biggest gripe with him.

I can sort of take him as long as he’s putting in the effort, but the amount of times he ends up plodding back or when attacking just standing still and waiting for something to happen is annoying as £#%&!.

As i have said for a very long time despite what others have said, he has no game to up that is the problem. One of the first attacking wingbacks of the "new england lot" but tactically and ability wise he is so inept, his attacking pace prior to the injury covered a multitude of sins.

A lot of similarities since the injury to that and Valencia, prior to the injuries both were prepared to take people on but since they just turn and pass inwards thereby narrowing the pitch and negating any attack.

The laughs when people on here said he would establish himself as our LB for the next 10 years

Get LB sorted and we have a top, top notch first choice back 5.
