a genuine living legend. i honestly cannot think of a manager who comes even close to the kind of record fergie has. quarter of a century of continued success at the highest level - there really is just nobody you can even compare him to.

after the build up i thought it was slightly disappointing. still a £#%&!ing top top man. i am dreading the manager in manager out years that are likely to come

yes because when we had the choice of dave sexton english football was exactly like it is today.

Paisley and his mate are nothing compared to Fergie....Paisley won 3 European Cups..wowsa .....they played maybe 18/19 games tops to win the 3 including byes....in 1999 we played just about that many games to win one EC, how many we would we have won had the Ec stayed champions only???? a lot more put it that way
