I'd say Shearer because I believed it was going to happen. And in 96' he hadn't yet had that knee injury which ended up changing the way he played.

Sneijder is one I was excited for too and was confident he'd sign. That season at Inter winning the treble and getting to the WC Final was immense and we needed creativity in midfield. But Ferguson said a while back there was nothing really there other than paper talk.
