Noticeable how many players liked him and are giving him a tribute. From all corners of our squad.

Also kept and used by all of our full time managers. Must have been a decent presence in the dressing room. Because football wise he was not what we needed.

Good luck to him. £10m is actually decent money for a 32 year old on his salary. God bless China.

Seems to be a good bloke by all accounts.

Did well for us really, not an ideal fit but could never be accused of shirking and proved pivotal on a number of occasions. Glad to see him leave, but always had a soft spot of sorts for him even though it was clear he caused us issues.

Good luck to him.

3 semi final goals in the 3 finals we've won in the last 3 years. Respect #mourinhovoice

Now his minutes can go to better footballers.

He's a decent lad just delighted he's gone. Never a United player and all that.

OGS/ED ruthless restructure is go.

Ed has to go or basically be moved away from football stuff and stick to commercial nonsense.

Mutual friend of me and Seamus pictured in the Mail driving him away.

I had no idea he was involved in this deal.

Not too bothered about him tbh

Was never gonna get in under OGS. He did score some important goals for us though.

Bottom line is he was never good enough to play for Manchester United. Moyes panic buy. Just a target man, which every single team knew about. The centre of the Boring football we played

A totem (pole) of our departure from the club’s values post-fergie.

Very glad to see it removed and packed off as far away as possible.

Question

Could we do a symbolic locking of this thread? Say at midnight tonight or something? I'd just like to forget about him and move on tbh

This is true, but might also explain why that purple patch was unsustainable in the longer run.
