I just have a feeling, that after that performance against Croatia he's ready to kick on and I think the trip to Liverpool is just perfect timing.

The criticism of him in the press has been way over the top, he has not been as bad as made out + the vital last few weeks of pre season was disrupted by that virus which automatically put him behind the rest of his team mates and opposition.

Only valid criticism for now is how little he takes care of himself, if slating him for smoking, eating junk food and drinking makes you a Rooney hater then fine. I am a Rooney hater.

Rooney is a fantastic player who is hugely important to the club. He's also coming into good form hopefully and as long as he contributes his usual tomorrow I will be happy.

Wether or not this is sufficient for some spotty norweigen @#%&! who probably never played a game of proper football in his life is absolutely beside the point.
