Was he 'playing out of position' again?

I am very happy with his overall contribution though, his game has much more to it than his goals.

only in terms of goalscoring... i just think what he brings to the team, squad and club is completely and utterly overlooked sometimes

I dont want another versus thread, but pace, dribbling, first touch, heading ability, set pieces. These are all areas in which Wazza is inferior to Ronnie.

Just saying who the better player is.

I'm sure some on here think Ronaldo is better in every single aspect, but I would say Rooney is better in about 20% of the game.

Thumbs up

Young forwards are inconsistent by their very nature when it comes to finishing and he's still only 22. I think we'll see an improvement when the midfield/wingers are all back and he's not having to do so much donkey work playing so deep and wide providing he has a proper injury free run. Can see him getting 25 + goals this season along with his fair share of assists whilst being as important as ever to the way we play.
