Keeper.

Spends half his time in the Stretford End.

Great.

Who are the candidates?

Long servants: jones, de Gea, mata... shaw?

Local lads: lingard, rasheh?

'Lead by example'.... um......

Tbf Milner was around long enough for Fergie to sign if he ever wanted him.

Helps if you are playing in a team full of world class players tbf. I'm not sure by what metric we can judge they have worked anyway.

Loved him standing on the left wing tapping 5 yards passes to the side as we were chasing the game, absolutely what was needed.

His passing or his defending, which was the more overstated part of his game as the hype built?

Thought he was decent.

Was always going to be tough against that front three but he grew into the game.

Obviously he should have taken the ball off Mane and dribbled 60 yards up field before putting an absolute screamer into the top corner, the shit @#%&! etc.

I find it baffling that Utd have invested so much hope in Lindelof. His claim to fame as a Utd defender is being the least noticeably shite performer in an all time awful season. Mostly because he hides from actually defending and avoids making mistakes though passivity. Makes Evans at his worst look aggressive.

Nothing he can do about the fee. The whole world including his mum knew him becoming the most expensive defender of all time is a disgrace. But to be fair to the guy there is no real clear style of play. If he had better players in front of him and we dominated possession in the opposition half his ability on the ball would be handy. He can drive with the ball forward to a point. Or if we just become a team that sits back and his job was to do what the CBs at Burnley do and head, block, kick anything in sight 50 yards, he's got the physique to do that. At the moment we are a mix of two. We had a period when we were pressing them, had more of the ball and created chances but we never do it for long enough in a game, never mind the whole game.

His awareness of danger is inadequate. A player with his obvious lack of pace and agility had to read the game better than he does. Terrible on the first goal, dropping off, playing everyone on, slow to react, not tight, and how sluggish he is was obvious on the second as great a hit as it was.
