Thumbs up

Has looked class tonight tbh, comfortable on the ball, lovely weight of pass, always available for the ball. Not sure he’s worth the money they’re talking about but he’s £#%&!ing tidy

You mean he'd be a great servant to the club and go on to captain us?

No offence mate but West Brom have made him look like £#%&!ing Pirlo. He’s nowhere near good enough for United and looks like a massive #@&%!

No thanks

Tidy isn’t really what I’m looking for in a number 10

Not that dynamic on the ball
Just tends to pop simple passes off

McGinn looked better when I’ve watched Villa

Villa would be crazy to sell in January and all but confirm their relegation.

We’d probably have to pay way over for him this month.

They wont want to sell and he's unlikely to force it. Hard to see it happen in January.

He's obviously too good for them but he'll leave in the summer after keeping them up or because they went down.

"Better than current player x" is half the reason we're in the mess we're in.

That's the reason we spent £85m on Maguire FFS.

We could have got a much better defender for probably less then that.

If you want to replace the dross, then you have to buy someone better.

I understand your point that we should not be aiming at just better, we should be aiming at world class... but lets be honest with ourselves, which world class players are going to want to come to us at the moment ?

What we need are players that will get us into that fourth spot. Once we have champions league again, then we can start to attract world class players... until then, "better than we have" is the strategy.

For once, I agree with you.

We should be throwing £80m at Leicester for him.

At the same time, getting caught up in this notion of ‘how much improvement is enough of an improvement to make it worthwhile’ is going to lead to paralysis and doing nothing. There are some areas of this team that are in dire need of an upgrade....dire; and simply addressing them alone will make us significantly better. Acting now to improve these areas is way more important than whether you improved 30, 40 or 50%.

This. And this is also why we're £#%&!ed. We need midfielders, anything would be upgrade on the current situation, but United won't buy anyone unless they believe they'll be a solution for 10 years they should be snapping up what they can and then upgrading again whenever the opportunity arises, even if it's Grealish now and then Havertz or someone else in the same role in the summer. They have to be more aggressive in the market.

One player won't cut it either. Sign one player and you're an injury from being back at square one.

The club are £#%&!ing idiots. The whole of it. Everyone.
