Didn't have much choice to make an unbalanced squad?

They sold Lukaku and, instead of replacing him with someone like Giroud, they went on the cheap with Rooney and that fella from Espanyol and spent £45m on Gilfi Sigurdsson ...... adding to their generous stock of midfielders who are slow but decent on the ball (Schneiderlen, Klaasen, Davies).

Pickford is a decent keeper but nothing special. Same with Keane. Klaasen was a waste of money. That Martina is incredibly awful.

They've been crying out for some pace and needed a direct replacement for Lukaku. Koeman addressed neither.

Those Everton supporters with their new found enthusiasm for attacking football after we inexplicably robbed them of a manager who fitted them like a glove, Lord knows what they make of this shite

They are horrible moaning bastards.

Some of the most negative fans going. They moan and groan every home game and the commentators always seem surprised.

They make out like it's because of Allardyce but they've always been like this.

They're the berts before the money. Embittered and cranky. It's all perfectly natural.

Except they're shitter when they play the red half.

I have honestly never seen such an inferiority complex from one team over another.

They are utterly terrified of them.

Their record is utterly pathetic considering there hasn't been that much of a gulf between the sides down the years.

They've haven't won at Anfield since 1999. That is atrocious.

They are showing no ambition to beat a second string Liverpool team with an eye on Tuesday night.

They're not going down, just go for it. They'll never have a better chance to beat them and appease the fans and instead they're playing for 0-0.

Seem to recall Giroud wouldn’t go there in the summer.

Having to pay £45m for Sigurdsson perfectly highlights the problem they had. And everyone in the league except City has in fact.

If not Giroud, then someone else. Essentially, they just didn't replace Lukaku and CHOSE to spend the summer chasing a player they have already in different guises.

He was after the wrong kind of player, which is why they now have a bloated, unbalanced squad.

You’re assuming the players that you are insisting they should’ve signed exited, were available, weren’t ridiculously priced and wanted to join Everton.

We’ve had shit tons more to spend and still haven’t managed to address half of our issues.

You are an odd one.

They sold their 30 goal striker, didnt replace him and spent most of their budget on a player they didn't need.

That's not an assumption. That happened.

We could make any assumptions about what the club might have done or tried to do, but we judge them by what they do.

They spent £#%&! loads and are worse off for it. The squad is unbalanced. That's what we know. Which was Sparky's point.

Most of their budget? Really? £45m of £168m spent..

They couldn’t get a replacement for Lukaku as that level of player wouldn’t go there and would cost too much, they had to buy players they could to try and soften the blow. They bought that young Spanish Strike and signed Rooney btw. You’re talking about a mid-table PL club, doubt they were in the running for Mbappe..

Exactly as Spurs couldn’t buy a Bale replacement and we couldn’t buy a Ronaldo replacement.

Vardy who refused to leave Leicester for Arsenal?

You’re right btw, Lukaku was arguably far more to them than Ronaldo to us at the time.
