Hate going all "told you so" but honestly think spending serious money on bale would be a joke. Not an elite player imo. No magic to his play, one footed, is so easy to mark out of games.

Simeone is cool and good.

Bale has been poor this season tbf. Decent amount of goals and assists but he's not in games, not like he was for Spurs where everything went through him.

He's great in counter attacking sides where he has loads of space to power into
Think of his goal in the Spanish Cup final last season. A classic Bale goal all about pace and power on the break

However lots of sides drop deep against Madrid so very little space in the final third
Bale really isn't that great in tight areas
