We all know it is true so doesn't need to be said?

Actually started in Fergal's last few seasons.

Seriously how good could this lad turn out to be?

He’s already such a key player for us.

£#%&!ing unreal player. I completely underestimated him at the start.

Love the lad.

Good to see him back. An important presence in that starting eleven.

He was good & that was him rusty, he’s got a high ceiling, absolutely rampages forward when given the chance. Love that about him, just want to tighten up the distribution & the odd decision, but he’s coming along at a rate of knots

Missed him massively on Sunday. The hair still does my head in but I’m coming to terms with it.

That part of his game is why he’s so good imo and completely wasted as a sitting midfielder.

I’d like to see a holding midfielder behind him and Fred, I think that could be the way to go.

Sign an out and out 9 too and we’ll have the makings of a very good starting eleven imo.

Far from flawless tonight but what a £#%&!ing difference he makes.

You really can't be having Perreira and Fred as back ups. One or the other maybe.

Can't wait for summer. Solve the Pogba issue and get McTommers a quality, committed partner. Minimum.

Yeah, he’s definitely the difference for us at the minute. I’d say two midfielders in, a left back and an out and out centre forward should be our targets this summer.

And a CB. Lindelof has been largely shit

Long term I agree but I think midfield, LB and striker all higher up the pecking order at the moment. We should keep Smalling next season and make do with what we have.

He is a top level athlete for the position. Most guys his size don't have his running power, acceleration and lightness of foot, means he can play and press at a high tempo constantly. There are still areas of his game he needs to tidy up, the erratic passing most notably but he makes a difference when he is in there, remarkable improvement from his initial games.

Fantastic presence, grit and determination. Ran the show, becoming a leader down the spine of the team, bringing Fred along for the ride, which is just as impressive. Paul who?

McT and Fred with Pogba ahead could be great. Both were great tonight. Glad I went now.
