We should be fine, ofcourse, but I'd rather we just took the stung out of the game aswell as the tie.

I don't think any side would jeopardise the tie much, but it could be an unnecessarily difficult night if we concede early, have to bring big players on etc.
Could be another Hull job. I suspect he wants the game as comfortable as possible.

Still plenty of opportunities to rest later in the game and rotate a few for Sunday.

Which is why he's selected a strong side, Smart-arse.

Ignoring people's overall point again, I see.

it's one we haven't dishonoured.

it's a bit of a sideshow, though. the highlight will be seeing the f.a. cup final goal over and over. with any luck, they will assess it with modern technology and declare it invalid. it's what the germans would do.

The League cup became a proper trophy when Mourinho decided it was in his first season at Chelsea.

There has definitely been a transition in how the big teams treated it at least. The F.A. Cup OTOH has gone in the other direction since then.

Precious, he says. STILL going

'Typed like it was insightful'. Watching me type now?

Banging on with the same question to point nobody made, being called out for lying about a point and then ignoring it and now throwing snide at an observation about team selection.

You're a mess, Throb. Go home.

Which is why Mourinho always targets the League Cup. It's not special, no one is bothered if you're out but it's also the easiest to win if you do take it seriously - which he does. Get the first trophy on the board and the players and fans will be buzzing for the final third of the season blitz.

Winning mentality
