Either ronaldo and messi have raised the bar too high or players with potential don’t fulfill it any more.

Every team used to have a top striker that got goals (van nistelrooy, Henry,drogba, Torres) seems like talent is scarce these days. Later on Rooney, shevchenko van persie...etc the league used to be compeititve

Neymar seems to have shit the bed, realised he could never come out of messis shadow and took a 600k pay cheque in a league where he would look brilliant without ever having to try. Sums up the modern footballer, always take the easy or easier route.

Would probably have done the same as Neymar tbf, I imagine the under the table monies he and his whole family are getting are insane.
