Thing is for large parts we never actually played 4-3-3 last night, it was more a 4-4-2 with Fellaini playing as a deep striker almost, it swapped around to a 4-3-3 on the odd occasion we broke at speed and then swapped into a 4-5-1 when we found ourselves under pressure. I actually liked that flexibility first half, we just lost all shape second half.

We are just going to have the problem all season of not really having 11 players in a team that you would want that all suit any one system.

Van Gaal changed the formation to 4231 2nd half with both Blind and Carrick holding and Fellaini playing further up off Rooney
It resulted in long ball football

Id drop young back to left back. that was where he played his best football. He gets more space to cross from there.

something like,

DDG
Valencia
Rojo
Jones
Young
Carrick (holding)
Herrera
Blind
Mata
Januzaj
Rooney.

Time to drop young IMO. He was doing ok ish at wing back when he had much more space to switch to his right as naseum.

One on one with a full back and he's dog do do.

In his opinion Louis played his strongest team last night - Just not good enough - could easily have been 4-1 to Arsenal (David saved us from that). He can play who he wants Vs the spuds. They will come to OT looking for 3 points.

Who can blame them? That´s the bottom line.

We are pushover @#%&!.

And by halftime we could and should have been 3-1 up. But hey, that's the beautiful game.

Spurs will sit back and hit us on the counter. Our clowns at the back will gift at least 2 goals. Since spurs defense isn't all that, I am expecting a entertaining 2-2 draw

If valencia, fellaini both start, then its a 2-3 defeat for us.

3-1 up at halftime? Did we even have a shot on target apart from our goal? I don't remember any easy chances missed by us

Young missed a sitter and all Fellaini had to do was pass it 5 yards. Instead he tried to pirouette forgetting to control the size 5 leather bastard. We also missed and open goal in the second half. Both Arsenals goals were gift wrapped.

Right O - we can argue the detail.

Question - who deserved to win last night?

Careful ..
